Once I posted a missed connection for a Trader Joe’s cashier.

She responded within 6 hours. We added each other on Facebook, but that was that.

Last week I saw her again at Trader Joe’s, jumping up and down and singing and acting silly and charming, and I thought—This is an act! She is trying to rack up missed connections!

Today in the Kroger parking lot she walked in front of my car, wearing an outfit I can only imagine on a soccer mom who is volunteering in a safari-themed Vacation Bible School (but for certain reasons I know that no one has a safari-themed Vacation Bible School). I thought, She needs to go on a TLC show and get her life together or something.
